Gearbox Only

The central part of a multipoint lock is often called the gearbox or centre case. This contains the mechanics of the multipoint locks which link into operating the rest of the lock. A multipoint gearbox is operated by pulling up or down the connecting handles. Through years of use the parts inside the gearbox usually wear down causing it to fail. In this instance it is more cost effective to replace the gearbox and not the complete multi point lock.
